recycling  Eco facts

Making a normal plastic container for your ink or laser cartridge is easy. You need
some oil for the actual plastic case (for laser cartridges it is estimated that 3,5 liters
of oil
is needed to produce one single laser cartridge!), some electricity (at times,
electricity provided from a coal burning plant), some employees and a factory.

Then you send the cartridges with a C02 spitting oil tanker across the world and
some weeks thereafter, the cartridges arrive to Europe. After the cartridges have
been sold and used in a European printer somewhere, 80% of them will be thrown away and transported to a landfill.

Sad as it is, the decomposing process of a laser cartridge takes 1000 years before it has disappeared (obviously, not counting the actual contaminated soil that has also been generated during the millennium).

There is another way and it is really easy. Just stick to the following, very simple, steps!

1   Buy Printle! Search for Catalog

Choose Printle's products and you have already taken the first step to make this world a greener place!

1   Recycle Yourself! Recycle yourself

The cartridge will not be thrown into a landfill (or worse: end up in the sea such as the “Synthetic sea”) if you choose to recycle it.
