Our laser cartridges have been recycled. Moreover, we have decided to plant one tree each time a customer buys anything from Printle.com. So, each time you place an order from Printle.com, the world literally becomes a greener place! After buying a product from Printle.com, you will receive an email certificate that demonstrates that a tree has been planted in Europe on your behalf!
We are a European company and our aim is to plant trees in Europe. So, perhaps it comes as a surprise that we have chosen a tree planting company by the name of American Forests. However and after an extensive survey, we found out that American Forests is one of the most recognizable and respected tree planting organizations in the world. Even IKEA chose American Forests as their tree planting partner. Despite its name, American forests plants trees all over the world and at Printle.com, we are absolutely thrilled to start our tree planting venture together with American Forests!
American Forests is currently running around 20 tree planting projects worldwide. Printle.com is supporting American Forests’ projects that are currently ongoing in Europe. Below is the list of the ongoing European tree planting projects:
Project: Plant Your Roots in Greece - Global ReLeaf International
Country: Greece
Summary: Plant Your Roots in Greece has been planting trees in Greece for more then 10 years. With the help of American Forests, Plant Your Roots in Greece, will plant 80,000 trees on Taygetos Mountain and on Ancient Olympia.
Mount Taygetos was until recently one of the most significant ecosystems on planet earth. However, the tremendous fires in 2007 severely affected the ecosystem. Reforestation efforts in Ancient Olympia will take place in the area where the Olympic Flame begins its journey to the Olympics every four years. Maintenance is critically important and Plant Your Roots in Greece works with local government units to provide this crucial aspect of the reforestation program.
Project: Extending the Lincolnshire Limewoods - Global ReLeaf International
Country: United Kingdom
Summary: The Lincolnshire Limewoods is the last stronghold of ancient lime woodlands in the United Kingdom. There is evidence that the woods have existed for 8,000 years. Woodland Trust acquired 202 acres, located 15 miles from the city of Lincoln, from the Forestry Commission and will plant 150,000 UK native oak, ash, hazel, aspen, holly and birch seedlings to increase habitat and connectivity between Limewoods. The trees planted will help protect the ancient woodlands from the intensely managed arable landscapes around it.
